AWS Security Hub

AWS Security Hub is a cloud security posture management (CSPM) and security operations service that provides organizations with a comprehensive view of their security state across Amazon Web Services environments. The service continuously aggregates, normalizes, and prioritizes security alerts and vulnerability findings from diverse AWS security services—including Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Inspector, Amazon Macie, AWS IAM Access Analyzer, and AWS Network Firewall—as well as dozens of partner security products into a unified dashboard.

The platform automatically evaluates cloud resource configurations against foundational cybersecurity standards and industry compliance benchmarks, such as the AWS Foundational Security Best Practices (FSBP), CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark, and PCI DSS. Utilizing the standardized AWS Security Finding Format (ASFF), Security Hub reduces alert noise and duplicates across multi-account AWS Organizations, allowing analysts to triage threats quickly. In addition, Security Hub features automated response and remediation mechanisms powered by Amazon EventBridge and AWS Systems Manager Automation runbooks, enabling teams to trigger automated fixes for common misconfigurations—such as closing exposed security groups or enabling S3 bucket encryption—with a single click or automatically upon detection.
