Zscaler approaches enterprise security by replacing broad network access with direct, policy-controlled connections between users, devices, workloads and the applications they are authorized to use. Its Zero Trust Exchange forms the foundation for cloud-delivered services covering secure internet access, private application access, SASE, data protection and digital experience monitoring. This architecture is especially relevant to organizations moving away from legacy VPNs and appliance-heavy security stacks while supporting remote employees, branches, cloud workloads and unmanaged devices. Zscaler also extends its platform toward AI security, giving organizations controls for data and connections involving AI applications and agents. The company's scale is a major part of its model: security inspection and policy enforcement happen through a global cloud rather than requiring traffic to be backhauled through a corporate data center.
