Cyber Rank ("Cyber Rank", "we", "us") runs cyberrank.co, a directory where buyers can find, compare and contact cybersecurity vendors and read our rankings. This policy explains what personal information we collect on the website, why we collect it and the choices you have.

We collect only what we need to run the site and answer you.

• Contact form: your full name, business email address, company name (optional), the subject you choose and your message.
• Listing requests: your name and job title, business email, phone number if you give one, and details about your company such as its name, website, location, size, categories, products and industries served.
• Profile claim requests: your full name, work email, job title, the company profile you want to claim and any note you add. We also record whether your email domain matches the company's website, to help us verify you.
• Technical and usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you reach them. This is collected automatically through server logs and analytics cookies (see the cookies section).

We ask for a business email address on our forms. Please do not send sensitive personal information (such as health or financial details) through them.

• To reply to your message and to send you a confirmation that we received it.
• To review a listing request, create or update a company profile, and contact you about it.
• To verify that you work at a company before we approve a profile claim.
• To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it, using aggregated analytics.
• To meet our legal obligations.

Our legal bases, where the law asks for one, are your consent (when you submit a form), our legitimate interest in running and securing a business directory, taking steps you ask for before a listing, and compliance with the law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.

Vendor and product profiles on Cyber Rank (company name, description, website, location, products, certifications and similar business details) are published so buyers can find them. This is business information about companies, not private details about you. If something on a profile is wrong or you want it changed or removed, email info@cyberrank.co.

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only for that purpose:

• An email delivery provider, which sends our replies, confirmations and notifications.
• Our hosting and database providers, which store the site and the messages and requests you send us.
• An image hosting provider, which stores company logos and images.
• Google Analytics, which gives us aggregated statistics about visits.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business. Your form submissions are not shared with other vendors listed on the site.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies that store an anonymous identifier and collect your IP address, browser and pages visited. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies of our own.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works without cookies.

We keep messages, listing requests and claim requests for as long as we need them to respond, to run the listing and to keep a record of our communication. After that we delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your information earlier at any time (see your rights below). Server logs and analytics data are kept for a limited time.

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to our admin tools, rate-limit our forms and keep your data with reputable providers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will act quickly if something goes wrong.

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
• have it corrected, updated or deleted;
• object to or limit how we use it;
• withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect what we did before);
• complain to your local data protection authority.

Cyber Rank is a business directory and is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Profiles and articles link to company websites and other third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change we will make it clear on the site. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. See also our Terms of Service.
