Acronis MDR

Acronis MDR (Managed Detection and Response) is part of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. A security operations team monitors client endpoints around the clock, investigates and triages threats, and responds to them, while recovery and remediation run on the same Acronis platform. Acronis announced MDR by Acronis TRU, run by its Threat Research Unit, on April 7, 2026, with global availability.

It is delivered through one of three options: Acronis TRU (Acronis's own SOC), Legato, or regional MSSP partners. It comes in two tiers. Standard covers 24x7 monitoring, automated mitigation and response (isolation), manual response for critical incidents, incident analysis with a verdict and recommendations, a service portal and a monthly report. Advanced adds full remediation actions (including RMM and recovery), threat hunting, threat intelligence news and IOCs, root cause analysis with an incident report, on-demand incident investigation and ad hoc requests. Some items are only available with Acronis MDR by Acronis TRU.

Acronis states that outsourcing is more than 10 times less expensive than building an in-house SOC, and that critical incidents can be remediated in as little as 15 minutes.
