Acronis Advanced Backup

Acronis Advanced Backup is an enterprise-grade cyber protection and data backup extension built directly into the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud ecosystem. Designed to enhance standard backup routines, it provides specialized workload protection, continuous data protection, and forensic-level backup snapshots for critical servers, virtual machines, cloud instances, and SaaS environments. Organizations leverage the service to eliminate data loss risks between scheduled backup windows, ensure rapid disaster recovery, and defend business-critical workloads against targeted ransomware and corruption incidents.

The platform provides extensive infrastructure support covering physical servers, hypervisors such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V, cloud instances in AWS and Microsoft Azure, and SaaS suites like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. It connects seamlessly with IT service management systems, professional services automation tools like ConnectWise and Autotask, and enterprise monitoring platforms to streamline operational management for managed service providers and internal IT departments. Core operational use cases include continuous data protection for transaction databases, Microsoft Exchange and SQL granular item recovery, automated off-site backup replication, and immutable cloud archival storage.

By embedding AI-based anti-ransomware defenses directly into backup streams, Acronis Advanced Backup ensures that backup files remain pristine and tamper-proof against unauthorized modification. Security and backup administrators benefit from centralized scheduling, policy automation, and automated validation tests that verify data recoverability before emergencies occur. The platform minimizes recovery point objectives, accelerates business restoration after catastrophic outages, and satisfies stringent regulatory data retention mandates across diverse industries.
