About Acronis GenAI Protection
Acronis GenAI Protection is a GenAI governance and protection service for MSPs, provisioned and managed from a centralized console integrated into the Acronis platform. Acronis launched it on April 22, 2026, as the initial phase of Acronis Cyber Workspace. It gives visibility into and control over how employees use GenAI tools, blocks sensitive data from being sent to AI tools, and detects harmful prompts.
What it does: Discovers and monitors browser-based GenAI tools, inspects prompts, and blocks sensitive data and malicious prompts from reaching public or unsanctioned AI services.
Problems solved: Unsanctioned GenAI tools used outside IT oversight, sensitive data leaking into GenAI prompts, prompt injection and AI abuse, and compliance exposure for MSPs accountable for client environments.
Target users: Service providers (MSPs), who deliver the service to their small and medium-sized business clients.
