Veeam Data Cloud Vault

Veeam Data Cloud Vault is a fully managed, secure cloud storage service engineered by Veeam to provide turnkey, immutable off-site backup repositories for enterprise workloads. Built on Microsoft Azure and fully integrated into the Veeam Data Platform, it allows organizations to store secondary backup copies securely in the cloud without navigating complex cloud storage provisioning, network egress fees, or storage management overhead.

Operating as an integrated cloud storage tier for Veeam Backup & Replication, the service deploys seamlessly as an encrypted object storage target configured with a few clicks. It incorporates native immutability utilizing WORM (write-once-read-many) storage architecture and zero-trust access controls, ensuring that once a backup copy is written, it cannot be modified, encrypted, or deleted by any user—including rogue administrators or compromised automated accounts—for a specified retention duration. Primary implementation scenarios include fulfilling the "3-2-1-1-0" backup rule with an off-site immutable copy, defending against catastrophic ransomware extortion campaigns, and archiving compliance backups long-term.

With all-inclusive, predictable pricing that includes cloud storage, API transactions, and data egress fees, Veeam Data Cloud Vault eliminates the unexpected billing spikes associated with traditional public cloud object storage. Security teams gain peace of mind knowing that critical recovery assets reside in logically air-gapped cloud storage that adheres to rigorous physical and cyber defense standards. The service simplifies cyber resilience architectures, streamlines off-site storage management, and ensures guaranteed recovery availability during severe disasters.
