Lookout Secure Internet Access

Lookout Secure Internet Access is an enterprise cloud-delivered Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solution engineered to protect distributed remote workforces and branch offices from malicious web content, phishing websites, ransomware downloads, and internet-borne threats. Operating as an integral component of the Lookout Security Service Edge (SSE) platform, it enforces comprehensive web security policies without backhauling traffic over corporate VPNs.

The solution routes outbound user web traffic through Lookout’s high-speed global cloud proxy network, providing fast, low-latency web inspection. Core technical capabilities encompass dynamic URL filtering and categorization covering millions of domains, real-time SSL/TLS traffic decryption and inspection, advanced anti-malware and cloud sandbox file detonation, malicious botnet command-and-control (C2) callback blocking, and integrated cloud Data Loss Prevention (DLP) that prevents employees from uploading confidential data to unauthorized websites.

Global organizations, educational institutions, and distributed enterprises deploy Lookout Secure Internet Access to protect remote employees browsing the public internet from corporate or BYOD devices. It integrates smoothly with SD-WAN appliances, modern web browsers, and enterprise identity providers. Common operational use cases include blocking employee access to malicious phishing and malware distribution sites, enforcing corporate acceptable web use policies, preventing confidential data leakage via unauthorized web forms and pasteboards, and maintaining robust web defense across remote laptops and mobile endpoints.
