IBM Security Randori focuses on understanding an organization from the perspective of an external adversary. Randori Recon continuously discovers publicly exposed assets and the services associated with them, building an attack-surface map from domains, hostnames, IP addresses and related infrastructure. Its discovery model uses a center-out approach that starts from known organizational identifiers and expands through connected assets, helping reduce the noise that can result from broad internet-wide scanning. The platform is designed to help security teams understand what attackers can discover and which external assets may represent meaningful exposure. This makes Randori particularly relevant to attack surface management and exposure-management programs where asset inventory changes continuously.
