Astrix Security is a cybersecurity company focused on non-human identity security, including service accounts, machine identities, API keys and AI agents. Founded in 2021 and based in Tel Aviv, Astrix developed technology to discover non-human identities across enterprise environments and identify excessive privileges, risky configurations and unmanaged access. Its platform provides centralized inventory and contextual information about machine identities and the systems they connect to. Astrix has expanded its focus to AI agent security as organizations increasingly deploy autonomous agents that need access to corporate applications and data. The platform can help security teams discover shadow AI agents, evaluate permissions, identify policy violations and establish governance around machine-to-machine access. Astrix has been used by large enterprises and has emphasized extending traditional identity and access management practices beyond human users. In 2026, Cisco announced and completed the acquisition of Astrix, bringing its non-human identity security technology into Cisco's security portfolio. Astrix ended standalone sales of new licenses effective June 30, 2026, while existing customers continue to receive service and support. Its technology remains relevant to the emerging non-human identity security category, especially as AI agents, service accounts and machine-to-machine connections become a larger part of enterprise infrastructure.
