Secureworks Incident Response provides emergency breach response, digital forensics and incident readiness services, delivered as part of Sophos since its 2025 acquisition of Secureworks. Responders help organizations contain active attacks such as ransomware, business email compromise and data theft, work out what happened and restore normal operations.

In an emergency the team deploys Taegis XDR and endpoint agents to gain visibility quickly, then carries out host, memory, network and cloud forensics and works with legal counsel and insurers on scoping and reporting. Investigations draw on threat intelligence from the Secureworks Counter Threat Unit. Customers can buy incident response retainers with pre-agreed hours and response times, and unused hours can go toward proactive work such as tabletop exercises, IR plan development, compromise assessments and threat hunting.

The service suits organizations that need an experienced external team for major incidents, want to reduce breach impact and recovery time, and must meet regulator or cyber-insurer expectations for incident readiness.
