Oracle Cloud Guard

Oracle Cloud Guard is an intelligent, cloud-native Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and threat detection service built directly into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to provide continuous visibility into security risks, misconfigurations, and suspicious activities across cloud tenancies. Included at no additional cost for OCI customers, Cloud Guard automatically analyzes configuration data, audit logs, and network telemetry to detect drift from security best practices, enabling security teams to achieve a strong security posture with minimal operational friction.

The service is built around Detectors and Responders that continuously audit cloud resources across all OCI compartments. Key capabilities include configuration detectors that identify misconfigured storage buckets, public IP exposures, and weak IAM policies, threat detectors that analyze user and entity behavior using machine learning to detect compromised credentials, and automated responder recipes that can automatically remediate security vulnerabilities—such as disabling public access to an Object Storage bucket or revoking user permissions—in seconds. With unified risk scoring and security zones integration, Cloud Guard prevents misconfigurations before they lead to security breaches.

Oracle Cloud Guard integrates natively with OCI Security Zones, OCI Events, OCI Notifications, OCI Logging, and third-party SIEM/SOAR platforms via Kafka and REST APIs.
