GitLab Secret Detection

GitLab Secret Detection is an automated security scanning capability integrated directly into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and developer pre-commit workflows to identify and prevent sensitive credentials, private keys, API tokens, and database passwords from leaking into source code repositories. Powered by the open-source Gitleaks engine and custom GitLab rule sets, it blocks credential leaks at the earliest stage.
