About Druva Phoenix
Druva Phoenix is a cloud-native backup and disaster recovery solution purpose-built to protect physical and virtual data center workloads without the cost and complexity of legacy secondary storage infrastructure. Traditional enterprise data center backup tools require dedicated target appliances, tape libraries, offsite replication infrastructure, and ongoing licensing contracts that inflate total cost of ownership. Druva Phoenix replaces cumbersome hardware with a streamlined cloud architecture that backs up virtual machines (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V), enterprise databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), and physical servers directly to Amazon Web Services. Deployment requires only a lightweight virtual proxy appliance that installs in minutes, automatically backing up snapshots using source-side global deduplication to conserve outbound wide area network bandwidth. Backup data is automatically vaulted into air-gapped, immutable cloud storage, safeguarding vital enterprise databases from destructive ransomware and insider attacks. In the event of a localized data center outage or disaster, Phoenix enables one-click failover and automated cloud disaster recovery directly into AWS virtual private clouds (VPCs), allowing critical enterprise workloads to resume operations within minutes. Druva Phoenix provides centralized multi-site management, enabling IT teams to streamline enterprise data center resilience.
